“Arcanes”, is that which is hidden, reserved for those who know how to listen to nature’s secrets. It’s the key to know-how handed down from generation to generation, a legacy of passionate winemakers, but also a bold approach, in harmony with the earth and the invisible. Les Arcanes is also the humility of patient, attentive work, always guided by the enigma of the plant, the observation of its mysteries and the understanding of its conditions of development.

Here in Jouy-les-Reims, the village where our passion was born, we cultivate much more than grapes: we cultivate a state of mind. Once called “Joy” in the 14th century, then “Joy-les-Reims” in 1860, the village finally took on its current name of “Jouy-les-Reims”. As a tribute to this heritage, we have chosen to revive this ancient name, a symbol of tradition and transmission.

Arcanes represent our commitment to respectful and demanding viticulture, and Joy, this ancestral name, carries with it the soul of our terroir, its history and its humility. Our Champagnes, true sensory revelations, are the key to this mystery, a journey we invite you to experience.

The viticulture we practise is a veritable ode to plants. Stéphane, in charge of vineyard management, is a passionate craftsman of the land, attentive to each vine and each plot. He works tirelessly to ensure that each vine develops in ideal conditions, respecting the plant’s natural cycle. Patricia works with passion and precision in the winemaking process. She puts the spotlight on the work Stéphane has begun in the vineyard, crafting distinctive cuvées full of emotion, that reveal the richness of their land.

Certified organic since 2023, this choice goes far beyond a simple label: it reflects our philosophy, our convictions, those that place nature and sustainability at the heart of our work. We firmly believe that the quality of a wine is forged upstream: the soil, the vines and the growing conditions are the keys to producing Champagnes that are true, sincere and respectful of their environment. More than a label, it’s about actions. By adopting a complete eco-responsible approach (living soils, preserved biodiversity, eco-design…) we are choosing to preserve the beauty of our terroir, by ensuring the balance of our ecosystem and reducing our carbon footprint as much as possible at every stage of production.

It embodies the constant dialogue between Stéphane’s work in the vines and Patricia’s vinification. Like a key to time, each sip echoes its roots and constant evolution.

Blending: 50 % of the 2015 harvest with 50 % reserve 
in oak barrel.

This Champagne is made from the house’s 3 oldest Chardonnay plots, oriented towards Reims Cathedral and its angels, as a discreet nod to the soul and Arcana of the estate. A Champagne of almost angelic purity and crystallinity, in the image of its grape variety.

Blending: 53 % of the 2017 harvest and 47 % of reserve wine which have been aged in an old oak barrel.

A refined Rosé blend, this Champagne pays tribute to Louise Félicité, the woman behind the creation of the estate. From vines over 50 years old, this cuvée combines complex, fruity reds with reserve wines also over 50 years old. A Champagne symbolizing the confluence of generations.

Grape variety: Meunier 50 %, Pinot Noir 40 % 
and Chardonnay 10 %. 
Blending: 36 % of the 2020 harvest, 546 % reserve wine 
and 18 % red wine old Pinot Noir vines.

Based on a daring idea by Patricia, eMa celebrates the alchemy between Patricia and Stéphane. Produced only in exceptional years, it reveals the full complementarity of the duo, where the precision of winemaking sublimates the fruit of the vineyard. A pure, vibrant expression of the land, the Meunier grape and the men and women who work it.

Grape variety: 100 % Pinot Meunier.
Blending: 100 % of the 2018 harvest.
Bottling: May 9, 2019. Limited.

Palate: The yellow fruit notes are underlined by a hint of hazelnut, and its effervescenceis light and smooth on your palate.
